Skip the crowded city center and head here for the quietest sunset in Ahmedabad. This complex of mosques and tombs is basically a masterclass in Islamic architecture, but you go for the geometry and the massive tank. Spend about an hour wandering the platforms; it’s best around 5pm when the shadows hit the pillars perfectly. Don't waste money on a guide here unless you're a history nerd. Just bring a camera and decent shoes.
