Skip the main entrance crowd and hit the back paths near the Egyptian Temple for the best views. This zoo is literally right next to the Central Station, making it the easiest afternoon detour in Belgium. Spend two hours walking the Art Deco paths, but definitely skip the overpriced snacks near the gate. Head straight to the savanna exhibit if you want to see the giraffes and zebras up close. It is weirdly peaceful for city center wildlife.
