At 6,075 meters, Chachani is essentially a non-technical walk-up, but the altitude will wreck you if you aren't acclimated. Spend at least two days in Arequipa before booking the full-day climb. You gain massive elevation quickly, so hire a guide to manage oxygen and pacing. Skip it if you have zero mountaineering fitness. It’s brutal, cold, and quiet, but the view of Misti from the summit makes the lung-burning trek feel worth every step.
