Don't expect a relaxing beach day here. The boat ride to Tabuhan kills your back, but the north-side reef makes the saltwater spray worth it. Arrive by 9am to beat the midday current and the absolute lack of shade. Bring at least three liters of water and a dry bag unless you want your electronics fried by ocean mist. Spend two hours max snorkeling, then get off the sand before you actually start burning.
