Skip the main beach crowds and walk ten minutes north for this local favorite. You get plenty of personal space, plus the rusting remains of the SS Wollongbar poking out of the sand at low tide. It is the best spot for an early morning coffee at Treehouse or a sunset beer away from the backpacker noise. Spend two hours here max, but keep an eye on your gear if you head into the water.
