Do not wear new clothes, jewelry or wallet inside the volcano. Your belongings will remain inside the bus. Once customers get off the bus, we close the bus until all customers have left the volcano and removed the mud for the safety of their belongings. This place is not supported by the Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism or the Colombian Government. Spontaneously it is the Totumo Volcano Workers Association and their families who manage this site, that is, they are local and native people who work there, there are 3 people on the tour who will help you by taking photos, giving you massages and helping you remove the mud in exchange for an additional tip. It carries low denomination tickets to tip if you want to use its services ($10,000 COP each service). These services are optional, not mandatory.
