Skip the main Monteverde crowds and head straight to Bajo del Tigre. It’s quieter, cheaper, and lets you actually hear the jungle breathe. Book a night tour here if you want to find glass frogs and sleeping toucans without fighting for space behind someone else's scope. The main loop turns into a total mud pit after rain, so wear boots you do not mind trashing. Two hours is plenty of time to explore the trails.
