Don't bother with the overpriced boat tours if you have a rental car. Park at the Annaberg sugar mill and hike the 20-minute coastal trail to reach the best snorkeling spot in the Virgin Islands. You will see sea turtles and rays in the seagrass beds, but bring your own gear to save cash. Go early to snag a parking spot, as the trail gets hot and crowded by noon. Pack lunch; there’s nothing out there.
