Skip the resort pool and head straight for Bouma National Heritage Park. You need a full day to hit all three Tavoro Falls; the first is easy, but the third is where the crowds disappear. Bring sturdy sandals for the Waitavala Water Slide—it is a literal rock slide, not a theme park. Cross the International Date Line for the photo op, then dive the Great White Wall if you have your scuba cert. It is rugged and muddy.
