Skip the main island tourist traps and rent a 4x4 for the Hibiscus Highway. Spend at least four days snorkeling the Great Sea Reef or hitting the Savusavu geothermal hot springs. Forget overpriced resort tours; they are total scams. Park your ride at the Savusavu Yacht Club by 5pm for a cold beer and the best harbor sunset in Fiji. If winding, muddy mountain roads stress you out, maybe stick to the beach hotels.
