Skip the main Gettysburg battlefield tour for a few hours and take the shuttle to the Eisenhower farm. You actually walk through his private home, which feels preserved in the fifties. It’s weirdly domestic and quiet compared to the war history everywhere else in town. Budget about two hours for the shuttle and tour. Definitely wear comfortable sneakers for the walking paths, and definitely don't miss the putting green near the back porch.
