Skip the Surfers Paradise crowds and head straight to the Hill at sunset with a pizza. The basalt rock formations at the point create a world-class right-hand break, but even if you don't surf, the 2.3km Ocean Track through the national park is the real win. You'll spend about three hours here between the walk and Tallebudgera Creek. Avoid the weekend parking chaos by arriving before 9am or taking the bus.
