Don't bother hiking this in flip-flops; the trail gets slippery and muddy real fast. You really only need about an hour here, including the scramble up to the upper viewpoint. Go as early as 7am to dodge the loud tour groups and actually see the rainbow shimmer in the spray without a hundred phone screens in your face. It's a solid quick hit if you're already in the park, but skip if it hasn't rained lately.
