Skip the ground and walk through the rimu canopy on this 20-meter high steel platform. It takes about an hour to loop through the trees and climb the tower for a view of Lake Mahinapua. The cafe below serves decent coffee, but the walkway is the only real reason to stop. Don't bother with expensive guided tours unless you need transport; drive yourself and save the cash for a better dinner in Hokitika.
