Skip the corporate zoos for this hands-on spot just outside the village. You get face-to-face with llamas, kunekune pigs, and rare Highland cattle in a low-key setting. It takes about an hour to wander the paddocks and feed the animals, which is honestly the best part. Go mid-morning when the staff brings out the babies. It’s definitely more for the animal-obsessed than a thrill-seeker, but the mountain backdrop beats a screen any day.
