Skip the main waterfall overlook if you want to actually touch the water. The hike down to the boiling pots is short but steep, so wear real shoes, not sandals. Go during the dry season; heavy rain makes the current way too aggressive for swimming. Bring a dry bag for your phone, spend two hours here, and leave no trash. You get the best photos from the rocks near the edge, not the top viewpoint.
