Skip the noisy pedal boats and pay a bit more for a local oarsman to row you around the lake. The water gets pretty murky near the Mall Road shore, so head to the quieter Talli Tal end for better photos. Go at sunrise before the tour buses roll in to actually hear the water. Don't waste money on overpriced lakeside snacks—grab a coffee at a nearby cafe instead. An hour on the water is enough.
