Show up around 5pm to catch the sky turning neon pink over the water. It is a massive brackish expanse where local fishers live on tiny wooden boats. Skip the mid-day heat; it is brutal and empty. Book a local boat tour to actually get onto the water instead of just staring from the shore. Grab some fresh grilled clams at the local docks before you leave. It is chill, cheap, and surprisingly photogenic.
