The four-hour 4WD trek into the park destroys your back, but the Blue Lagoon and Buaya Sangkut waterfall make the effort worthwhile. Bring industrial-strength mosquito repellent—the leeches are aggressive. Limit your expectations for luxury because you are staying in basic bunkhouses here. Dedicate at least three full days to really disconnect, because you definitely won't find reliable cell service anywhere near the canopy.
