Skip the party crowds in Chaweng and head here for a low-key afternoon. The sand is coarse and golden, but the water stays deep enough for an actual swim even at low tide. Walking the shoreline takes about an hour; look for the rickety wooden swings near the beach bars. Sunset is the move, specifically with a cheap Chang from a plastic chair. It is quiet, slightly rugged, and perfect for doing absolutely nothing.
