Skip the guided tours and grab a rental bike at the gate; the park is massive and walking it is a mistake. Aim for the Nemophila fields in spring or the massive sunflower patches in summer. It’s an easy day trip from central Fukuoka, but pack your own snacks because the food options inside are overpriced and underwhelming. Spend three hours here, pedal to the animal petting zoo, and definitely leave before the park-wide commute hits.
