Skip the dry history books and head straight for the blue building. The real star is the 100-foot Roman wooden barge fished out of the Rhône—it’s massive and eerie in person. You’ll also find the only bust of Julius Caesar sculpted while he was alive. Spend 90 minutes here, mostly in the mosaics wing. Avoid the gift shop trinkets and grab a coffee at the nearby canal instead. It’s the best €8 you’ll spend in Arles.
