These Roman temples dwarf everything else in the region. The sheer scale of the Temple of Bacchus columns hits harder in person than in any history book. Spend at least three hours walking the site to soak in the sheer scale. Book a small-group tour from Beirut to handle the logistics; it usually includes a stop at Chateau Ksara for wine, which makes the ride back way more chill. Don't skip the midday heat.
