Skip the main art galleries for this weirdly specific local museum inside a restored 17th-century convent. You get way too close to original Napoleonic cannons and heavy artillery that actually defended Lille during the 1792 siege. It takes about an hour to get through the entire collection of uniforms and military hardware. The staff are retired local gunners who care more about the history than your average docent. It's niche, dense, and actually interesting.
