Don't bother with the glass-bottom boats at the jetty; they're tourist traps. Book the Cataspeed 5 Islands full day trip instead to actually reach the best reefs. Spend at least three hours in the water to see the coral heads. The BBQ lunch on the beach is surprisingly decent, but bring extra water and reef-safe sunscreen. Skip the midday crowds by aiming for a morning departure. It is way better than the generic public beach.
