Skip the guided tour and just wander the massive decks at your own speed. You get access to the battleship and the submarine USS Drum for one entry price. It takes about three hours to really see it all. Go early to beat the Alabama humidity. If you want a better angle of the ship from the water, book the Mobile Harbor cruise separately. It is rusty, loud, and entirely worth the history lesson.
