Don't bother hiking the full climb unless you actually enjoy burning your calves; just drive to the base. The stairs to the Dattatreya temple get crowded by noon, so show up for the sunrise to actually see the Aravalli range before the haze settles. The tiny bell at the summit is the only real photo op here. Plan for one hour max, grab some local roasted corn nearby, and leave before the afternoon tour buses arrive.
