Skip the guided tour if you just want to take photos. The remains of the Great House offer a moodier vibe than any manicured garden. Bring water and sneakers because the overgrown paths turn into mud pits after rain. You only need about an hour to wander the skeletal walls and overgrown courtyards. Most locals swear the place is haunted, so go before sunset if you’re easily spooked. Don’t pay for the onsite gift shop.
