Skip the main viewing platform if you want to avoid the crowds and actually feel the spray. The path down to the bottom is steep, muddy, and definitely requires real shoes, not flip-flops. You can swim, but the current pulls hard near the drop. Plan for two hours to handle the slippery descent and the climb back up. Grab a bowl of papaya salad from the local stalls at the top afterward.
