You get maybe 20 minutes to jump off the bus, snap photos of the snow-dusted peaks, and buy local alpaca sweaters from vendors before the altitude headache kicks in. Book a shared tourist bus for a stress-free ride with lunch stops included. Bring a warm jacket, drink plenty of coca tea, and definitely don't run around at the summit.
