Skip the cramped bridge sidewalk and head straight here for the classic view of the Golden Gate. You get the iconic suspension orange without the tourist swarm. It is a steep walk from the parking lot, so wear sneakers. Aim for an hour before sunset when the fog rolls in to catch the bridge glow. It is free, windy, and definitely better than the official visitor center perspective. Bring a jacket even in summer.
