You cannot reach this lighthouse on foot, so stop trying to walk through the marsh. Book a private dolphin and shelling cruise instead—it is the only way to get close enough for a decent photo. Aim for a sunset tour to catch the orange light hitting the crumbling brickwork. It takes about an hour on the water, and most captains will drop you at a nearby sandbar for shelling. Skip the land-only viewpoints.
