Show up before 9am if you want to see sea turtles surfacing without fighting a hundred tourists for a photo. The water is pristine, but the sand gets aggressively hot by noon, so bring flip-flops. Rent a snorkel set from the local shack to spot the reef creatures just twenty feet out. It takes two hours tops, then head to the nearby taco stand. Skip the sunset crowds; the morning light is better anyway.
