Don't hang around the terminal unless you enjoy aggressive taxi hawkers. The port is strictly a transit zone. Book a private boat tour to Soufriere early if you want to actually see the Pitons without the cruise crowds. Skip the souvenir shops near the docks; they are overpriced tourist traps. If you only do one thing, book the Food and Rum tour to leave the port area and get some real local flavor.
