St Martin has the remains of three forts of which two can be visited. Each fort offers a great view of one of the two capitals our small island is rich and forms a lovely background for the history of St Martin.
Fort St. Louis offers a great view of the capital of the French side, Marigot (accessible via a concrete stair).
Fort Amsterdam offers a great view of the capital of the Dutch side, Philipsburg (accessible via a short, sloping, sand path).
