Skip the exterior photos and actually walk inside this restored parliament building. The central atrium with its intricate rotunda and hand-painted ceilings hits different compared to the surrounding downtown chaos. It takes about an hour to loop through the chambers and galleries. Go on a weekday when parliament isn't in session to access the restricted chambers. Security is tight, so have your ID ready. It is arguably the best-preserved slice of history in Port of Spain.
