Walk through the bizarrely lavish world of the 'Circus King' in Baraboo. Skip the generic walking tour and head straight for the stained-glass smoking room and the original 1905 pipe organ. It takes about an hour to explore. Grab a beer at the onsite brewery, Ringling Brewing Co., after you're done looking at the taxidermy. It is surprisingly spooky in October, but go during a weekday to avoid the local tour groups.
