SB Sea Center: Feed Local Rays and See Sharks on the Pier

Skip the main aquarium if you want something hands-on. The Sea Center is basically a glorified research lab built on Stearns Wharf, perfect for an hour of poking sea stars and watching leopard sharks swim in touch tanks. It gets crowded with screaming toddlers at noon, so go early or around 4pm. Walk out to the end of the deck for a legit view of the coastline. It is small, fast, and surprisingly cool.

Address: 211 Stearns Wharf, Santa Barbara, California, 93101
