Skip the chaos of Amsterdam for a city that actually feels lived-in. Walk through the Binnenhof to see where the Dutch government loses its mind, then hit the Mauritshuis for the Vermeer classics. If you have half a day, take the tram to Royal Delft to see how the blue-and-white stuff is still hand-painted. It is weirdly therapeutic and definitely better than buying tourist junk at the station. Don't overthink it, just go.
